Kids
Lakeside's children ministry - Jesus Generation - exists to serve the children and families of Lakeside, connecting them with God and each other. We are passionate about presenting God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - in a child friendly manner meeting the kids on their level. Our kids church program allows children to join their families for praise and worship before moving into their own service where children participate in praise and worship, teaching, prayer, activities and games.
Also running on Friday afternoon we have LCC Kids Club for primary school children. Kids Club is a place where we are committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him.
Youth
Our youth meet weekly on Friday for dinner, fellowship and relevant, Christ centred teaching and discussion. All high school aged students are welcome to come along to be encouraged and supported in their walk with God.
Young Adults
Our young adults gather fortnightly on Tuesday nights with the aim to encourage young people to have a real relationship with Him in an environment that is safe and encouraging for all. Every fortnight we meet for dinner and fellowship followed by teaching and discussion.
CONNECT GROUPS
Our connect groups aim to enrich our relationship with God and each other in a small home group setting. We believe that connect groups are vital for healthy growth and are a place where people can encourage and support one another. Lakeside has connect groups for all stages of life. Each connect group has teachings relevant to the group, encouraging and growing each member in their walk of faith. Our connect groups run in several surrounding suburbs, as well as here at the church. We are passionate about serving the global community and demonstrating God's love to others. We have several missions we support on an ongoing basis to provide practical support to those in need.
missions
Life Waves Counselling is a general, but personalised affordable service offering individual and couple counselling, group therapy, programs and workshops. Utilising well researched evidence-based psychological techniques, so as to bring a restorative process. Charlene De Beer has a Bachelor in Social Science degree, Bachelor of arts honours in Psychology, as well as being an accredited Pastor with Australian Christian Churches. Her aim is to reduce the mental health anguish that many face; by creating better access, resulting in tangible outcomes and meaningful change.
Clients are supported through everyday life challenges, whilst assisting them to find workable solutions. Life Waves offer professional counselling services in a warm, supportive and non-judgmental environment and are committed to the highest professional and ethical standards to protect confidentiality and to provide a quality service. Emotional Coaching and Marriage Workshops, as well as group therapy for primary aged children that are processing divorce or separation of their parents.
